Service Description:

We will undertake a review of the proposed domestic building contract, including all special conditions, plans, specifications, and associated documentation, and provide you with verbal advice. This consultation will cover the legal implications of the contract, identify any key risks or unfair provisions, and offer practical guidance tailored to your position (as either owner or builder). This service is appropriate for clients who wish to understand their obligations before signing, but do not require written advice or negotiation.

Scope:

- Review of the building contract (typically 30–50 pages);

- 1-hour consultation (in person, by phone or via Zoom);

- Follow-up clarification if required.

Estimated Fee:
$660 (incl. GST) – flat fee. Additional hourly time, if requested, charged at $440/hr (incl. GST).

Estimated Fee:
$1,100 – $1,650 (incl. GST) depending on length/complexity of the contract and whether negotiation is required.

Further time, if necessary, charged at $440/hr (incl. GST).
