Matthew is an experienced family, construction, and wills and estates lawyer and founded Silk Legal to deliver personalised and practical solutions tailored to each client’s needs.

Before launching Silk Legal, Matthew honed his expertise in construction law as legal counsel at the Master Builders Association of Victoria, focusing on domestic building disputes and dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and giving clear and effective advice to members. Matthew has also successfully handled a wide range of cases across general practice, from court advocacy in the Federal Circuit and Family Court and Magistrates Court to mediations and many other forms of dispute resolution and contract negotiations.
